Belarus is tightening oversight of its cryptocurrency market with a new regulatory task force targeting unauthorized transactions. The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) announced the measure after consultations with licensed crypto firms and traditional banks, signaling a dual approach of enforcement and support for compliant operators.

Deputy Governor Alexander Egorov emphasized the need for collaborative solutions to prevent illicit cross-border flows while fostering legitimate crypto activity. The working group will focus on closing loopholes in payment systems and disrupting shadow economy networks exploiting digital assets.
